About the walk
The Elmwood Unity Walk is a community-based patrol aimed at reducing harm in the neighbourhood, providing cleaner streets, and creating a safer space for all residents.
Our goal is to build relationships with all members of the community.
What we do
Provide aid for at-risk community members
By delivering food, water, and hygiene kits, and connecting individuals with community resources.
Build relationships in the community
By providing a regular presence in the Elmwood area to foster positive relationships with all.
Clean up debris from streets
By removing hazardous materials such as needles and drug paraphernalia.
When to volunteer
The Elmwood Unity Walk happens every Thursday and Sunday.
Starts at 180 Poplar Ave
How to volunteer
Anyone wishing to volunteer with the Elmwood Unity Walk can simply let us know by arriving at 180 Poplar Ave 15 minutes before the walk time.
Families are welcome to walk together!
- Ages 16–17 may participate with parental permission.
- Ages 10–15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Come walk with us
No sign-up needed — just arrive at 180 Poplar Ave about 15 minutes before start time. Thursdays 6:00–8:00 PM and Sundays 2:00–4:00 PM.
