Action Plan Process
The Action Plan Team is committed to developing CNRC’s next 5-year action plan based on the community’s needs.
The team has spent the last months developing and distributing surveys to community events such as Happy Days on Henderson and the Elmwood Night Market. These surveys tell us about how the community’s needs are being met and where we need to provide more support.
We have also been running focus groups to assess the needs of often overlooked groups better. These focus groups ask questions and invite discussion around topics that are specific to the needs of these groups and how those needs are being met or not met in the Chalmers and Elmwood areas. We have run focus groups with Youth, Parents, Seniors, and Newcomers to Canada.
The team continues distributing surveys online and at in-person events (The upcoming Wednesday farmers markets and the Elmwood Night Market in August). Once the team has collected enough surveys, there will also be a grand prize draw for anyone who has completed a survey. We will then use the data collected from the survey period to develop an action plan that will guide CNRC’s programming for the next five years.
