About BAG

Better Access to Groceries (BAG) is a non-profit program under the Chalmers Neighbourhood Renewal Corporation (CNRC). Our mission is to provide the Chalmers and Elmwood community with access to fresh, low-cost fruits and vegetables while promoting healthy eating and community connection.

Frequently asked questions

Emails are sent weekly, typically on Thursdays or Fridays. We recommend checking your junk folder if you have not received an email from us. Please note that the form will not accept responses after 9:00 AM every Monday morning.

Every Tuesday from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM.

In person at pickup. We accept cash, debit, and credit card.

We prioritize those living in the Elmwood/Glenelm area, especially within the Chalmers Neighbourhood Renewal Corporation boundaries (west of Glenwood, north of Munroe, east of Raleigh and Panet Road).

Please contact us by email or phone by Monday at 9:00 AM if you're unable to attend.

Yes! Volunteer opportunities are available on Tuesdays between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Shifts are approximately 1–3 hours.
